Description

A hearty Amish-inspired hamburger bake with seasonal fall vegetables for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup diced potatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add onions, garlic, carrots, celery, and potatoes. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth.
  5. Transfer mixture to a baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey for beef.
  • Add other fall vegetables like squash if preferred.
